A Birmingham Symphony is a poetic exploration of Birmingham, UK, inspired by the city symphony films of the 1920s and 1930s, in which a personal place-mosaic is created through a sonic-screen collaboration between the filmmaker and researcher Jemma Penny and myself.

The film has been screened at numerous festivals including Doc. London and Cannes International Film Week 2026.
